The Minor
The official shield of the State of Israel is a candelabrum (menorah), whose form was originated, according to tradition, the seven branches of plant Mori. The olive branches on both sides represent the Jewish people's yearning for peace.

L a Menorah along time
The lowest (seven candelabra arms) of gold was an important ritual object in the Temple of King Solomon in ancient Jerusalem. Throughout the years he has served as a symbol of the acquis and the Jewish tradition in countless places and in a variety of ways.

The emblem of Israel, adopted by unanimous vote of the Provisional Council of State, includes several ideas from previous designs: the olive branches express the state's peaceful intentions, the menorah is testimony to what unites the Jewish people in its glorious past the homeland and the return of its former luster status (by the metaphor of the restoration of the menorah from the Arch of Titus to their place in Israel), and indirectly, the beginning of the end of the Diaspora. "Israel" is the new name state, but registration is also a remnant of the phrase "Peace on Israel".
